This weekend was Sooooo fun!!! Thank you to my lovely friends who made this weekend awesome – I think this was literally my best bday ever. Huge thanks to Bamz for the theme idea (and for flying up with Victor and Mira), it ended up being awesome. Some highlights:
- Downing two bowls of mac n cheese at Bullitt – thanks to those of you who fed me (Shilpi, AK, Ami, Nidhi), and thanks for not taking a picture. i felt like shit the next day until 3 pm.
- Nick Soni‘s amazing shirt: I love Fremont Chicks is GENIUS
- All the amazing food in general from the weekend — Beej‘s cupcakes she sent, el torito, marengo, and LITTLE STAR. i think i de-cleansed myself in just 2 days.
- Blasting house music and driving through SF with Nav and Shwin. for some reason this made me feel in my element.
- Neeraj‘s clutch comments throughout the weekend – “Even my dadima knows beer pong rules better than you guys” directed at me/Mira
- epic dinner on Saturday night. Luisa’s in the Marina hates us – the food is the bomb.com, hopefully I can go again

Tonight was fun! I did a lot of ‘Priya’ things and really feel like I got shit accomplished. I mixed a bunch of veggies together and sprinkled some taco seasoning on them and ate it inside a gluten-free tortilla along with my shake. I’m getting a little emo about my shakes and supplements, I must say. I have exactly enough supplements left for the rest of my meals… what am I going to do when they run out?! Back to the cleanse: only 3 days left – YAYyYyYyYyY! Technically, my cleanse ends Thursday night with my last meal. Is it cheating if I hit up Bullitt that night for some mac ‘n cheese and a drink? I’ve gotten so used to this cleanse lately that I can’t believe I’m on day 19 already tomorrow morning. That went by so fast. I don’t really have much to post about except that I’m soooo pumped about this weekend. So close to being done with supplements, shakes, and more. I can’t wait to get back to normal food like bread, pastas, etc. I’m going to bed gniteeee.
Man did I test my limits this weekend! I figured that since it was the last weekend of the cleanse, I should go all out. The only thing I really have left to do is go to freaking Vegas and be sober and eat leaves, but that’s just a waste of time and dinero, let’s be honest. And that would just be depressing and a buzzkill for everyone else. Here’s what sums up my weekend:
On Friday night, I decided to venture out of San Francisco – I’d been eating at home day after day and I really wanted to finally eat out. Dhru had told me about this awesome restaurant in Berkeley that fits the cleanse, Gather, and I’d heard about it a bunch too, so I decided to give it a try. Luckily, Radha lives in Berkeley and was willing to try this with me. It was raining cats and dogs and BART was having a lot of delays, but finally I made it there.

I’m almost in the home stretch period – sooo excited!! Just one more weekend to be around alcohol and yummy food that I can’t partake in. And then party time next Friday night — woohooooooooooo! Can’t wait to see everyone’s shirtssssssss
I realized I haven’t posted pictures of food in awhile, so below, you’ll find of the stuff I’ve been eating the past few days. Also, one thing that hasn’t really bothered me so far are the shakes and supplements. I know some people get really really sick of them, but I don’t mind it. The shake in the morning is so light (ice cubes, almond milk, and 2 powders), and by lunch, I’m super hungry and ready to go. I feel so much better than sometimes when I eat a bagel with cream cheese, eggs, and fruit. Just like people say, it’s important to eat breakfast in the morning, but it’s nice when you feel light and not overly full your entire morning. P.s. according to the poll it looks like there are more people who are not inspired by my blog to do a cleanse, however, there are still 10 people who are! That makes me happy – if 10 of you do the cleanse, I guarantee it’ll be a great experience and you’ll learn a lot more about yourself. Anyway, here are the pictures below along with recipes:
I can’t believe it’s already day 12 – time flies by so fast! A lot of people have been asking me lately how I’ve been feeling, if this cleanse has any effect on my weight, if I get hungry, etc. In summary, I obviiiii get hungry. Gosh there are so many times when I’m like “eff this salad” and I’m staring at the cheese pizza in the cafe. I REALLY miss cheese. Anyways, I think I’ve probably dropped a little bit of weight but I guarantee I’ll gain it all back once I’m off the cleanse. I never did this cleanse for weight loss reasons to begin with – I just wanted to test myself and be healthy for a few weeks because of the November-December ridiculousness.
